Ed Johns, Jr.
University of Georgia Graduate
Contractor since July 1993

Ed Johns, Jr. is a second generation builder. He grew up in the building industry working summers and holidays with his father, Ed Johns, Sr.. While working for his father, he learned a tremendous amount about the business by having valuable “on the job training” with framing, interior trim, roofing, stucco and exterior siding subcontractors. He also served as a “punch out” foreman on both custom homes as well as commercial projects. The experiences and knowledge that was gained during those years have helped him become the reputable contractor that he is today. He has been a contractor since 1993 and has since built hundreds of homes in the Lowcountry of Georgia and South Carolina.

As the contractor for Lowcountry Custom Built Homes, Inc., Ed Johns, Jr. has an office located in Bluffton, SC as well as an office in his home on The Landings on Skidaway Island in Savannah, GA. The company not only builds new custom homes, they also perform renovations and remodel projects. The company insists on customer satisfaction, and Ed stresses the importance of his relationship with the owners— not only during the building process, but far beyond that as his clients live in the homes that he builds.

Ed and his wife, Hayden, have two children in high school, and they spend their free time going to baseball, football, soccer, basketball, and horseback shows of which their children participate. Ed and Hayden have strong regards for community and religion as they attend Isle of Hope Methodist Church in Savannah, GA. The couple has raised their children to respect their elders and do all that they can to give back to the community. As parents and business owners, they have instilled the above values in their children by teaching, coaching and giving to charity organizations.

Ed Johns, Jr. is living his childhood dream of becoming a custom home builder in the Lowcountry of Savannah, GA and the Bluffon, SC area. He enjoys helping his clients design the ideal home for their families at whatever stage of life they are in. He has an artistic talent whereby he puts his own unique touch and custom finishes on each home, ensuring that the clients obtain their dream home. Building relationships with clients that last a lifetime are incredibly satisfying as a custom home builder. He prays that his company will have the same continued success that it has enjoyed for over 24 years. He looks forward to many years of enjoyment which comes from each and every custom home, renovation, or remodel that his company takes part in.
